Man City looked miles off to me.

Should that have been a penalty for Shaw from Ramirez?

It's a shame for the league but it looks like no other team has the consistency, strength in depth or resilience to challenge.

I think the WSL is stagnating and I'm afraid to say falling behind the NWSL.

Marc Skinner has won a trophy more recently than Gareth Taylor, and is still unbeaten this season, so why is "Taylor floor as a manager is high"...???

He has flopped big time as a manager, yet still gets praise.......why??

I believe the best measurement of a manager's floor is what they can conjure up over the course of a season. Since Gareth Taylor was appointed Manchester City's manager, his average league finish has been 2nd. Hence, trophy logic is probably not the stick to beat Taylor with when analysing his base capacity, Adam. Instead, as the essence of the piece is, it is whether his ceiling can match up with where City aims to reach.

So winning nothing (as you don't get anything for finishing second) is better than actually winning a trophy.....is that what you are saying....??

Because last season Marc Skinner out performed him, due to the FA Cup win.

Taylor has an FA Cup, League Cup and UWCL group stage and City finished 20 points clear of United last season.

Makes the Jonas comparison in the piece weird though - multiple League Cups and a UWCL semi-final...
