On a WSL final day that provided little in terms of jeopardy, a lot of eyes would have been on Emirates Stadium as Arsenal hosted Manchester United in what was, essentially, a play-off for second place and a Champions League third-qualifying round berth.

Any neutral tuning in would have been more than satisfied as the two sides played out a seven-goal thriller, with Arsenal edging the contest 4-3. Then again, perhaps that should have been expected of an Arsenal side who have, under Renee Slegers, become the league's great entertainers.

A glance at the final WSL table bears this out. The Gunners ended the season as the top scorers in the division – finding the back of net 62 times - but they also conceded the most goals in the top three, 10 more than Manchester United and 13 more than Chelsea.
