Chelsea’s wingbacks are going to be a problem this season. Sandy Baltimore already thrived in this role last season, but with the addition of Ellie Carpenter, the Blues now have two unstoppable forces on both flanks, each possessing the ability to change the game in an instant.

The dynamic duo bring lethal pace, pinpoint crossing, and unrelenting energy to the squad, constantly running up and down the channels. Their ability to use the width of the pitch and stretch the opposition defence was a key factor in Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Manchester City, with Carpenter even being awarded the player of the match on her WSL debut.
