England v Jamaica preview: How to watch and follow the Lionesses' send-off game
The Lionesses will face Jamaica at Leicester's King Power Stadium on Sunday in their final send-off match ahead of Uefa Euro 2025
Sunday (29 June) will see England face their final test before heading to Switzerland in defence of their Uefa Women’s Euro title.
Sarina Wiegman will have one final chance to work out her best XI before the Lionesses open their tournament account next week (5 July) against France.
After missing out on the Uefa Women’s Nations League finals with a narrow defeat to Spain earlier this month, it is the perfect opportunity for England to lay down a statement victory before attention pivots.
England v Jamaica: Unknown opposition awaits
The European champions will look different from the side who stormed to glory three years ago, now without the absent Millie Bright and the recently retired Mary Earps and Fran Kirby. Significant losses to the dressing room present a chance for several other players to step up in their absence.
A chance for Lauren James to see the field before the tournament commences is also on the cards. The Chelsea forward missed the end of last season with an injury, and despite her inclusion in the 23-player squad, it remains to be seen to what extent she will be able to have an impact on proceedings.
Jamaica are a side the Lionesses have not yet faced, which gives Wiegman’s team an opportunity to gain experience playing an unfamiliar opponent.
With one last throw of the dice before it is down to business, here’s how you can watch England’s send-off match…
