England and Italy face off tonight for place in the final
Tonight in Geneva, England face Italy in the first semi-final of the tournament. England are aiming to reach back-to-back Euros finals, while Italy are hoping to make history again by reaching their first final since 1997.
With everything on the line, expect a fiercely contested match. England’s depth and ability to fight back have been demonstrated already, but Italy’s resilience, sealed by their late quarter-final winner against Norway, proves they won’t go down without a fight.

England will not be taking the knee before the match after Jess Carter suffered racist abuse on social media after the quarter-final, with a statement reading: “It is clear we and football need to find another way to tackle racism.” In yesterday’s press conference, Georgia Stanway said: “We want more action to be made.” Read more about the Lionesses’ statement here.
Adidas has announced a new match ball for the semi-finals and final, which is red and silver to represent the Swiss flag and the tournament trophy.
Sjoeke Nüsken and Kathrin Heinrich are both suspended for Germany’s semi-final against Spain on Wednesday due to receiving second yellow cards in consecutive matches.
Sarina Wiegman has confirmed that all her squad are fit and available for selection against Italy.
