Boos rang out on a balmy night in Basel as Norway came from a goal down to defeat Uefa Women’s Euro 2025 hosts Switzerland 2-1 at St. Jakob-Park.

The Norwegians scored twice in the space of four second-half minutes to flip the match on its head as Norway legend Ada Hegerberg scored her 50th goal for her country.

Amidst a cauldron of red shirts, Switzerland got off to the perfect start when Nadine Riesen scored the opening goal in the 28th minute. The wing-back swatted the ball against the post from inside the box. It was the least the Swiss deserved from an impressive first 45 minutes.
