England are back-to-back European champions, winning Sunday's Euro 2025 final in Basel by delivering a tried and trusted formula that has ultimately resulted in European glory (again).

Ride your luck, rely on your game changers from the bench, win on penalties. This was England's best performance of the knockout stage, even if the bar was relatively low, but the fact that they were able to raise their level against world champions Spain, doing just enough to prevail, is telling of a team whose ability to get the job done by hook or by crook is unmatched. Let's take a closer look at how England extended their reign as the queens of Europe for at least another four years.
