Italy have made it to the knockout rounds of a major tournament for the first time since their quarter-final run at the 2019 World Cup. Le Azzurre finished second in Group B behind world champions Spain.

Andrea Soncin’s side beat Belgium, held Portugal to a dramatic draw and lost to Spain, scoring in each of their three games. An unpredictable Norway now await in the quarter-finals as Italy target their first semi-final appearance since 1997.
