El Clásico has been a one-sided affair so far: 20 straight wins for Barcelona since 2019 before Real Madrid finally got one over them in March this year. The Blaugrana had a goal difference of 81-8 before that defeat in March, making it a brutally skewed match-up. The three-time European champions sat at the apex, while Madrid aspired to be like them from the other end.

However, David finally got one up on Goliath on 23 March 2025. Las Blancas triumphed at Montjuïc, as hail turned the pitch white. Madrid put three past Barcelona and finally squashed the demons of the past. This marked a new chapter in the rivalry.
