Manchester United have started their Women’s Champions League campaign with back-to-back 1-0 victories, making them the only side in the league phase yet to concede a goal. It’s a strong start for a United team which had never been beyond the qualifying rounds of the tournament before this season, and while there are big tests still to come, early results have certainly given them a good chance of progressing to the next round.

Here are a couple of observations from across the two games against Valerenga and Atletico Madrid…
