International tournaments are the spectacle of the summer. The 14th edition of the Women’s European Championship in Switzerland is the headline event this summer, with 16 teams competing to see their name etched onto the trophy on 27 July.

The favourites have been heavily discussed, but what about the teams that the odds don’t favour - the underdogs? Everyone loves an underdog story and every international tournament is an opportunity for one to shine.
