It's nearly time for the new season
The Cutback team are preparing to deliver their biggest season of coverage to date
It’s been a while since I had the chance to chat to all The Cutback subscribers directly, so I wanted to send a note before the start of what is sure to be an incredible 2025-26 season.
Firstly, I want to say thank you to everyone who signed up to read our Euros and WAFCON coverage. Across four weeks in July, we delivered 125 articles, 10 live chats and 140,000 article views.
All of that coverage wouldn’t have been possible without the support and passion of our amazing community. We hope you all enjoy what we delivered during both tournaments. It was a test for what’s to come on The Cutback, with the 2027 Women’s World Cup on the horizon.
If you have a spare five minutes, I’d love to get some feedback on our summer of coverage and the platform in general. Here’s a very short survey.
What to expect from The Cutback this season?
This season we’re going to have more WSL coverage than ever before. Our dedicated club writers will continue to deliver in-depth pieces on Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Manchester City.
We won’t just be focusing on the big teams either, we have a fresh newsletter coming this season all about the teams outside the top four in the WSL.
We’ll also be supplementing this with more coverage from Liga F and the Frauen Bundesliga. We’ll also, of course, continue to cover international games, the Uefa Women’s Champions League and NWSL.
I’ll continue to deliver my weekly newsletter focusing on all the big talking points from the WSL and beyond.
Paid subscribers will be able to join regular live chats during WSL weekends and other major match days. And we have some big events and watch parties coming this season that our paid subscribers will get free access to.
This year, we’ve also got some exciting partnerships that I can’t reveal the details of just yet, but expect even more tactical insights and some exclusive content.
In order to access all of this content and extra features then make sure you upgrade to paid. We’ve got a special offer running for the start of the new season. You can get 30% off a paid subscription, it’s a one-time offer running for the start of the new season so make sure you make the most of it now!
If you haven’t already, make sure you check out some of the latest pieces on The Cutback website.
There’s our WSL transfer tracker, which details the ins and outs at every WSL club.
We also have a deep-dive on Arsenal’s record signing Olivia Smith, with a focus on her key attributes and why they will elevate the Gunners’ attack.
The NWSL season is back in full swing, you can check out a piece on the league’s new record signing Jacqueline Ovalle. And also find out what’s going on at Barcelona as a host of big names have left the club.
Over the next week or so we’ll be sharing our WSL season previews, looking ahead to everything kicking off on 5 September.
We can’t wait to deliver another incredible season of coverage for all of our subscribers.
