Tottenham Hotspur approached the 2024–25 season hoping to build on last year’s encouraging progress under Robert Vilahamn. The previous campaign had seen them emerge as one of the league’s surprises, with an entertaining style of play, a historic first North London derby win, an FA Cup final appearance, and a sixth-place finish. Despite the loss of key players in the transfer window, the aim was to bring greater consistency in the league and challenge for fifth place.
Instead, the season turned out to be more challenging than expected. The team finished second from bottom, with just five league wins and 12 defeats. There were signs of marginal improvement at the end of the season, but question marks remain on whether Vilahamn will still be in charge next season.
