Sweden bounce into quarter-finals with big win over Germany
Sweden top Group C after 4-1 victory against the eight-time European champions
Gimme gimme gimme a thrashing before midnight. Sweden have won Group C at Euro 2025 after a 4-1 comeback win over a 10-player Germany side in Zurich on Saturday.
This match will be remembered for a quite incredible collapse from Germany, who actually took the lead through Jule Brand in the 7th minute. Within 18 minutes of going behind, Sweden had flipped the scoreline to 2-1 thanks to goals from Stina Blackstenius and Smilla Hilma Holmberg.
