What’s that on the horizon? Ah! It must be a fresh batch of NWSL chaos coming for all of us.
Yes, the NWSL Playoffs are here. The ultimate three-week knockout competition that pits the top eight teams in the league into a bracket to find out who is the champion.
It all starts this weekend with the quarterfinals, followed by the semifinals the weekend after that, and then the final, in Washington, D.C., on 21 November.
Fourteen points separate the top seed (Gotham) from the eighth seed (Seattle Reign). But if there’s one thing we’ve learned from the playoffs, it’s that you can chuck a lot of what you think you know out the window.
The majority of the quarterfinals and semifinals are at very good times for the UK and Europe. So, even if you’ve never watched an NWSL game before, I highly recommend getting in on the drama.
All matches will be broadcast on TNT in the UK & Ireland.
