After suffering a painful defeat to South Africa in the WAFCON 2022 final in Rabat, Morocco were back again to complete the final step. For all the world, it looked like they would do just that as they built up a two-goal advantage, but record champions Nigeria came back from the dead to win 3-2 and lift their 10th WAFCON title, completing their ‘Mission X’ target.
